Hello
Background:- FCL, MVP, Best Batsman, Best bowler 'awards' are given based on,statistics calculated from score sheets provided teams during games. But so far atleast since '07,'08 ,we didn't had washed out games like we had one last friday 6/19/09.
Question:Our FCL Website team  brought this question?-Jay and Mahesh.
Should FCL be considering score sheets provided for a washed out 'valid' game or any abandoned valid' game and use for  'awards' calculations.

Yes, ICC,Micha, DCL might or might not already been doing this.We just want to let you know what this means.
1.Say Team-A is bowling, and a bowler took 5 wkts , while Team-B is bowling it ,rained  and game is washed out. So Team-B bowlers will get 0 wickets. So, Team-A bowler will be top in the list.Similarly that goes for batting. It sounds unfair, unlucky for opposite team, but it isn't.Teams A good balls were played by Team B.
2.Similar thing can happen, when there is a valid game in 1 ground and but on a 2nd ground it could rain and washed out.It is just the way things happen in any game.

So,Please provide you valuable comments and agreement for our recod and reply with a right option
Option A:-I, {name} {Team name (& or FCL board member)} agree, that washed out games score sheets should be considered for all awards.

Option B:- I, {name} {Team name (& or FCL board member)} do-not agree, that washed out games score sheets should be considered for all awards.

Option C:- I, {name} {Team name (& or FCL board member)} do-not agree, that washed out games score sheets should be considered for all awards but may be kept has a history as part of individuals players.

Option D:- My, {name} {Team name (& or FCL board member)} option is _________
General Note:- Please be careful while posting your comments in the forums, to the point.Refrain using, incorrect language.Posts should be always be aimed for the progress and future development and improving standards of FCL.

Thank you

I think, statistics should be considered for every ball played. Statistics should be maintained for all, irrespective of the outcome of the game.

In every game, both teams play a role to force outcome (even in games such as recently abandoned games). This is the main reason why we have to take into consideration the effort put in by every player in the game. Maintaining individual statistics will help the league recognize the effort put in by the players for the games played irrespective of the outcome. Result or outcome of a game is only to identify the best team in the league. So, I would say that we should consider statistics for all games played.

For example, Team A bowls for 15 overs and Team B bowls only 5.2 overs then the stats should include Team A's bowling for 15 overs, Team B's batting for 15 overs, Team A's batting for 5.2 overs and Team B's bowling for 5.2 overs.
